It was great to welcome the Mayor and mayoress of Barnet. Both took a keen interest in all the activities taking place at the Centre and took time to speak with everyone. The Mayor said that she was very impressed with so many different activities taking place and pleased to see so many different communities who come together and use the centre. The Mayor planted a tree to commemorate her visit to Watling Centre. She and the mayoress were presented with beautiful orchid plants as mementoes of their visit.

Everyone who came to the Watling Centre appeared to have had a great time. There was a great variety of different foods, great entertainment for children and adults, music and dance and even ice cream! 

Thank you to Kwapchi, Julia, Richard, Anil, Andy, Sangita, Fola, Pooja, the Elderly Group members and all the other volunteers who worked so hard to really pull off the great event and make the celebration such a success! Well done everyone!
